Client-centered care is central to our philosophy at the Clinic. Our clients always come first.
Our clients are the experts on their issues, experiences, motivations and feelings, and we do everything we can to help them feel heard, understood, and safe.
Our staff and volunteers give our clients the information and support they need to feel empowered and to make informed decisions about their health. We are committed to ensuring our clients receive the care they need and deserve.
Our staff and volunteers are specially trained in skills that promote “client-centeredness.” Our Health Educators will follow the client’s lead and do their best to use language that each client is most comfortable with. This includes, for example, using appropriate gender pronouns and describing medical issues in understandable and non-intimidating terms.
Our passion for client-centered care goes hand-in-hand with being a clinic for the community, by the community.
